Your Butter Pie is baked fresh to order and arrives chilled.

For best results (and a nice crisp pastry) we suggest heating your Butter Pie in the oven. You can heat it from chilled, or straight from frozen, in its original foil.

Heating instructions for the oven, air fryer and microwave can be found on bottom of the packing slip in your pie box.

Your Butter Pie delivery arrives chilled in temperature controlled packaging.

Place your Butter Pie in the fridge or freezer as soon as possible.

They can be chilled in the fridge for up to 5 days or can be frozen for up to 6 months.

Butter Pie Ingredients:

Pastry - Wheat Flour (with Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Thiamine, Niacin), Shortening, [Vegetable Oils (Palm Oil, Palm Stearin, Rapeseed oil), Water, Salt ( Anticaking Agent; Sodium Ferrocyanide (E535)

Glaze - Water, Vegetable Oil (rapeseed). Modified starch, Dextrose, Emulsifiers (mono-and diglycerides of fattyacids, sunflower lecithin), Pea Protein, Milk Proteins Acidity Regulator (Trisodium phosphate ), Colour (beta-carotene)

Filling - Potatoes, Water, Butter, (Milk, Salt (1.9%), Fat 80% min) Dehydrated Onion, (Sulphites), Salt, Pepper.

We ship using DPD Next-Day for mainland UK. Once you have placed your order, your pies are then baked fresh to order. The following day, we ship it to you in a cool temperature controlled box. We leave a minimum 48hr buffer between present order time and your chosen delivery date to allow for this process.

MY ORDER IS LATE?

Although we champion our process when it comes to getting your pies out the door, unfortunately with all couriers, unexpected delays happen and there is still a small margin of customers who may receive orders the day after their chosen delivery date.

Bank holidays may affect our usual delivery days. Orders due for dispatch around a bank holiday may arrive a day later than expected.

Our pies stay fresh in our temperature-controlled postage boxes for 48 hours. If your pie delivery fails to arrive 24 hours after your chosen delivery date, please get in touch and we can fix the problem.

Unbelievable pies! I bought some for my husband, who lived in Lancashire as a child and always speaks fondly of butter pies but hasn't found any good ones outside of Lancashire. He was overjoyed with this offering and I am only sorry I missed the cutoff for valentine's pies with a message on them. These pies are so moist and delicious; your pies have also converted this Kent girl! Butter pies are officially lush.

I just love the unique flavour of these pies soft mashy type potato and butter flavour is delicious.

I wrote about Butter Pies in a column I write for The Northern Times, under the name The Postie Notes. The piece was entitled "Cancelling Pork Pies". Anyway, I decided to try some Butter Pies as an online delivery from Bowens Pies. I can only say that they are very special, delicious, and go with almost anything. I've now ordered a number of times and I have also introduced some local friends to the pies, and will continue to purchase them well into the future, and supply the local folk with them as required.

Lovely firm crust and good level of filling but I would prefer stronger flavour from perhaps more onions and pepper
